Circus Circus Drive

From January 10, 2011 through at least September 30, 2011, sewer rehabilitation work will be conducted on Circus Circus Drive, Las Vegas Boulevard South and Industrial at Circus Circus Drive.

From March 13 through at least March 21, 2011, Industrial Drive will have lane restrictions at Circus Circus Drive. One northbound and one southbound lane on Industrial Road will be closed, with both northbound and southbound travel lanes utilizing the west side of the road. Northbound traffic on Industrial Road will be able to turn onto Circus Circus Drive; however, the southbound left turn lane onto Circus Circus Drive will be closed. There may be lane restrictions on Circus Circus Drive during this period. Work will be conducted Sunday through Friday, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

From April 15 through at least June 15, 2011, the two center lanes on Circus Circus Drive will be restricted. Driveway access will be controlled. The outside eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open. Access to Circus Circus Drive from both northbound and southbound Las Vegas Boulevard South will be controlled. Work will be conducted on Circus Circus Drive Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

From 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, the two right lanes on Southbound Las Vegas Boulevard South will be restricted at Circus Circus Drive.  After 10:00 a.m. on August 15 through at least September 30, 2011, the right lane will remain restricted.  Access to Circus Circus Drive will be controlled.

The two center lanes on Circus Circus Drive will be restricted.  Driveway access will be controlled.  The outside eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open. The Northbound lanes on Industrial Road will be restricted.  Access to Circus Circus Drive from Industrial Road will be controlled.

Through at least November 30, 2011, expect intermittent delays on Circus Circus Drive, Las Vegas Boulevard and Industrial Road, as crews work to complete rehabilitation of manholes.

November 18, 2011, the work has been completed and crews are finishing up punch list items.  Delays if any will be minimal.

On February 28, 2012, manhole lining will take place in manholes on Industrial, near Circus Circus Drive.  Work will occur during the overnight hours.  Expect lane shifts during the course of the work.

Decatur Boulevard between Sirius Avenue/Palmyra Avenue and Edna Avenue

From March 16, 2011 through at least April 15, 2011, the southbound lanes on Decatur Boulevard between Edna Avenue and Sirius/Palmyra will be reduced to one lane, with the left turn lane onto Sirius Avenue being restricted. One southbound lane on Decatur will open after 3:00 p.m. daily. The northbound Decatur traffic between Edna Avenue and Sirius/Palmyra will be reduced to two lanes, with the left lane and the left turn lane onto Palmyra Avenue restricted.

From April 18, 2011 through at least April 29, 2011, eastbound Palmyra Avenue/Sirius Avenue traffic will be restricted near Decatur Boulevard, with east and westbound traffic being on the north side of the street. Northbound and southbound Decatur traffic will be restricted near Edna and Sirius/Palmyra with one lane of travel open in each direction in the center of the roadway.

From May 25, 2011 through at least June 21, 2011, eastbound Palmyra Avenue/Sirius Avenue traffic will be restricted near Decatur Boulevard, with east and west bound traffic being on the north side of the street. Northbound and Southbound lanes on Decatur, from Palmyra/Sirius Avenue to Edna Avenue, will be restricted. Travel lane restrictions will shift to accommodate the construction. The left turn lane onto Palmyra Avenue will also be restricted.

From July 29, 2011 through at least October 31, 2011, southbound travel will be restricted on Decatur Boulevard, in the area of Sirius Avenue and Edna Avenue northbound and southbound traffic being on the west side of the street. Additional restrictions on Sirius Avenue and Decatur Boulevard and Edna Avenue and Decatur Boulevard may be necessary during this time.

From November 1, 2011 through at least January 31, 2012, expect intermittent delays on Decatur, Edna and Sirus Avenue as crews work to complete rehabilitation of manholes, pave, and replace the median.

January 25, 2012, Decatur has been paved, and crews are working to finish the traffic markings.  Work should take place through at least February 29, 2012. 

On March 1, manholes in Edna will be lined.  Westbound travel on Edna will be shifted, and Southbound travel on Decatur will be reduced to two lanes.

Eastern Avenue and Tropicana Avenue

From May 2, 2011 through at least June 30, 2011, the northbound lanes on Eastern Avenue between Reno Avenue and Tropicana Avenue will be reduced to two lanes. The eastbound lanes on Tropicana Avenue between Burnham Avenue to Topaz Street will be reduced to two lanes. One left turn lane from westbound Tropicana Avenue to southbound Eastern Avenue will be restricted. Driveway access will be maintained.

From May 25, 2011 through at least July 15, 2011, the northbound lanes on Eastern Avenue between Reno Avenue and Tropicana Avenue will be reduced to one lane. The eastbound lanes on Tropicana Avenue between Burnham Avenue to Topaz Street will be reduced to two lanes. One left turn lane from westbound Tropicana Avenue to southbound Eastern Avenue will be restricted. Driveway access will be maintained.

From August 14, 2011 through at least September 23, 2011, the two right lanes on Northbound Eastern Avenue from north of Reno Avenue through the intersection at Tropicana Avenue will be restricted while work is completed on sewer rehabilitation project. Expect intermittent lane restrictions on Northbound Eastern and Eastbound Tropicana during final paving operations. Work will be conducted 24 hours a day.

Manhole rehabilitation will occur on March 4, 2012.  Northbound travel on Eastern will be reduced to two lanes, with minimal lane restrictions around the work area. Work will take place during night time hours.

Katie Avenue and Maryland Parkway

From September 14, 2011 through at least November 30, 2011, two lanes on Katie Avenue will be restricted from Cambridge to Algonquin Drive. Travel lanes will shift to accommodate both east and west bound travel on Katie Avenue.  Northbound travel on Maryland Parkway may be restricted to allow construction access to Katie Avenue. 

Crews will be placing temporary paving the week of November 21, 2011.  Barricades will be removed.  Crews will be back in the area to finish the work after January 2, 2012.

From January 2, 2012 through at least February 29, crews are working to finish the testing of the new line, removing the odor control, and restoring the pavement.  Expect lane restrictions during this time.

Greenbriar Townhouse Way and Sandhill Road

From October 3 through at least February 29, 2012, Sandhill Road at Greenbriar Townhouse Way will be impacted by sewer work.  Work will also take place on Greenbriar Townhouse Way, resulting in a half street closure.  No parking will be allowed on Greenbriar Townhouse Way.

Fox Lake Avenue and Cascade River Street 

From November 14 through at least January 20, 2012, Fox Lake Avenue at Cascade River Street will be impacted by sewer work.  Work will take place between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; however traffic restrictions may be in place during non-work hours to protect the temporary sewer bypass system and pumps.

From February 21 through at least March 3, 2012, crews will be working to line manholes in the area.  Minimal traffic impacts will occur during this period.

South Valley View Boulevard at West Tropicana Avenue

From November 28, 2011 through at least February 24, 2012, traffic restrictions will be in place on Valley View at Tropicana.  Work will be conducted Monday through Friday, 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.  However, traffic restrictions will remain in place to protect sewer bypass pumps and pipes.  Access to businesses in the area will be maintained throughout the project, and the sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open for pedestrian access.  Left turn lanes and left turns into and out of driveways may be impacted throughout the project.

Starting on Tuesday, February 21, work will take place in the  intersection of Tropicana and Valley View.  Work will be conducted Sunday through Friday, 9:00 pm.m to 6:00 a.m.  The two inside lanes on both Northbound and Southbound Valley View, as well as the two inside lanes on both Westbound and Eastbound Tropicana will be closed.  The outside lane in all directions will remain open.  Traffic signals will be timed to alllow for both left and right turns through the intersection.  Work will continue through at least April 30, 2012.

Eastern Avenue at Desert Inn Road

Starting on Wednesday, February 29, manhole relining work will take place on Eastern Avenue at Desert Inn Road.  Work will be conducted at night, with Southbound and Northbound lanes on Eastern being reduced with Southbound travel being shifted into the Northbound lanes. 

Force Main Assessment on Broadbent and Near Whitney Elementary School

Crews are conducting an assessment of sewer force main along Broadbent Boulevard, and near Whitney Elementary School.  Crews will be installing testing equipment and will be removing and replacing portions of pipeline to conduct the assessment.  Work will continue through at least December 29, 2011.  Intermittent traffic delays only during work activities.  Work is conducted daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
